Training Guides for Players

You can do things at home to keep active and ensure you are ready to hit the court.   You can complete these alone or in pairs at home, in your own time. Sessions include footwork and agility, ball work, and goaling sessions. Below is the list (and links) of training guides.

Player at home sessions

Try our fitness, skills, and challenge sessions presented by our Rep Coaches.  All these sessions can be completed at home:

NetFit Netball

There are loads of online netball training sessions available from the NETFIT facebook page and NETFIT app.

Knee Program

Components such as jump and land, change of direction, and balance are all very important.  Focusing on these skills is vital to preventing injury.   Apply components of the Netball – Knee program throughout each training session and at home

Safety

When involved in Netball, we want it to be enjoyable for everyone. So, we’ll try to make sure that activities are suitable
for your age and development and are led by qualified people.

1. Netball should be fun, safe, and enjoyable.
2. You should never feel uncomfortable around others in Netball, particularly adults.
3. If you don’t feel safe or comfortable, it’s OK to speak up. We want you to tell an adult that you trust – whether that’s your Mum or Dad, guardian, coach, team manager, or another member of your Netball club or family.

Minfulness in your pocket

1. ReachOut Breathe

This is an app for managing anxiety via controlled breathing exercises.

2. Three Good Things

It’s been shown that if you write down three good things that happen to you everyday, your happiness and positivity increase. Three Good Things, a happiness journal, enables you to do exactly that with a simple user-interface and gamification to encourage engagement.

3.  Smiling Mind

Practice your daily meditation and mindfulness exercises from any device.  Smiling Mind is a unique tool developed by psychologists and educators to help bring balance to your life.

4.   ReachOut WorryTime

Everyone has worries pop into their head from time to time, but sometimes they won’t go away and start to impact your everyday life.

ReachOut WorryTime interrupts this repetitive thinking by setting aside your worries until later, so you don’t get caught up in them and can get on with your day. This means you can deal with worries once a day, rather than carrying them around with you 24/7.

5.  SnoreLab

SnoreLab has helped millions of people to understand their snoring problem and to discover solutions to improve their sleep.
