2025 Spring Club Competition Finals & Round Robin date:

Friday 9 & Under NetSetGo:

  • Friday 21 Nov – Round 14
  • Friday 28 Nov – Round 15
  • Friday 5 Dec – Round Robin

Saturday Finals:

  • Saturday 29 Nov – Semi Final
  • Saturday 6 Dec – Grand Final

Saturday Finals

Finals eligibility reminders:
Players must :
 A player  can only  play finals for one team.  If a player plays their 4th game in a higher team, they become part of the higher team and can’t play with the lower team.
 
Only players eligible will appear on the team attendance list to be ticked.  Any ineligible players will show in red with a strike through and cannot take to the court for finals.  Teams cannot borrow players in finals (All players must be registered to the team they are playing in to play finals.)
 

Finals Scoresheet Process

Please note that the process for scoresheets during finals is different from the regular season. It’s important that this information is shared with all teams participating in the semi-finals, especially as some Coaches or Team Managers may be new to finals procedures.

Team Roster Freeze
Team rosters in Netball Connect will be frozen from Sunday 23rd Nov. All players must be registered to the correct finals team before this date.

Important for finals teams :

  • Ensure all players are registered to the correct team in Netball Connect by Sunday 23rd Nov.
  • Check that all players expected to participate have played the required number of games in Netball Connect to meet finals eligibility.
  • Clubs are to check if the player is a financial member of the club

Fill in Players outside your Club
If a player does not appear in Netball Connect as played, they are not registered to your club or the competition and must be registered to the club and to the team in order to play finals.

Finals Scoring :

  • Only eligible players will be listed in team attendance 

  • Each team must supply a scorer.

  • The Umpire will bring the ipad to the court.
  • The winning team is responsible for returning the ipad  to the Competition Office after the game.

Drawn Games in Finals

  • Competition Staff will monitor all finals and attend the court if the match is drawn at full time.
  • Scoring for Extra time:
    • 11 & Under:
      • Switch to paper scoresheets.
    • U13 & above age groups will use live scoring
      • Live scoring is used.
      • The app will automatically move to extra timeif a match is drawn. 
      • MENA staff will select the start button to start the time.
      • The same process will apply for the extra extra
  • Scores will be verified by a MENA Competition Staff member.
  • Coin toss for centre pass will be conducted by Staff and the Umpires with each team’s captain. The first-named team calls the toss; the winner receives the first centre pass.
  • Teams change ends before extra time begins.
  • Positional changes and substitutions may occur during the break and in accordance with rolling substitution rules.
  • MENA Competition Staff will time extra time, and this official time will be used. Staff will confirm start and end times with the umpires.
  • 2 x 5 minute halves, straight swap over of ends and no break between the game.

Double Extra time (if still drawn)

If scores remain tied at the end of Extra Time:
a) 11 & Under: First team to score two (2) goals
b) All other sections: First team to lead by two (2) clear goals wins.

2025 Spring 9 & Under NetSetGo Round Robin

All 9 & Under NetSetGo teams will take part in a Round Robin on Friday 5 Dec 2025

Round Robin Information Guide

  • Each team is to supply an umpire. All umpires to sign on before the first game. All umpires to attend a briefing at 4.10pm.
  • Games will start at 4.20pm,
  • There are no scoresheets for the matches.
  • Each team will play 4 games consisting of 2 x 6-minute There is no half time break. Teams will swap ends; team members and positions can be changed.  There is a 2-minute changeover time between games.
  • After the game, teams should move off the court for the following game to commence on time. 
  • After the last round, at 6:40pm, a presentation will be held for all players on Court 1. Please make sure that your team makes their way to Court 1 promptly, so that the presentations can start on time.
  • Everyone must leave courts by 7pm sharp as there is an external booking for Maroondah Nets.
  • All players will receive a participation certificate and medal.
  • The Courtside Café will be open during the round robin, to help with all your coffee and snack needs.

Photography reminder 

Attention all Parents, Guardians, and Family Members.  Your support and enthusiasm for capturing your child’s special moments on the court are greatly appreciated. However, please take note of our photography guide:

  • Respect Others’ Privacy: While taking personal family photos of your child, please ensure the privacy of other people by refraining from capturing images of individuals beyond your family. Young People have the right not to be photographed, and it should only be done so with theirs and a parent or carers permission. It should also be done in the presence of other adults.
  • Personal Use Only: Capture your child’s game moments for personal use and focus solely on your child’s participation in the game.
  • Inappropriate Photography: In the event of suspected inappropriate photography, our staff, committee members, or board representatives reserve the right to intervene. If necessary, police may be contacted to handle the situation.
