Last week, Maroondah City Council hosted the Movement Expo, a fantastic event showcasing various sporting and movement activities available for older residents in the area. We were fortunate enough to participate and showcase our Walking Netball at a pop-up stall in the stadium.
Numerous community organisations also took part in the expo, promoting physical activity and well-being. In addition, there was a demonstration area where selected activities, such as dance and low-impact exercises for all abilities, were able to showcase their programs.
For Melbourne East Netball Association, this was an excellent opportunity to promote the benefits of Walking Netball and its role in promoting health and well-being. We were thrilled to be a part of this event and share our passion for sports and movement with the community.
