Meet our Representative Program Head Coach

Lindy Dowell brings over 20 years of coaching experience, passion, and dedication to her role as Head Coach of MENA’s Representative Program. Known for her loyalty, care, and headstrong determination, Lindy is deeply committed to developing both players and coaches, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential and enjoy the journey.

A standout moment in Lindy’s own netball career was her first State League game, where she proved a doubting coach wrong by excelling despite being told she was “too short to make it.” This experience fuels her belief in creating an environment where players feel supported, belong, and can thrive.

Her coaching philosophy is simple: “Your coach cares about you more than you know.” Lindy hopes to foster not just skills but lifelong friendships and memories within the MENA program.

When Lindy isn’t coaching, she’s busy working full-time at Yarra Valley Grammar and raising two active boys. She admires Shelley O’Donnell for her incredible ability to read the game and deliver precise circle feeds, and her favorite sports movie, Mighty Ducks, reflects her love for teamwork and perseverance.

Did you know? Without her contact lenses, Lindy can’t see a thing—but that hasn’t stopped her from having a crystal-clear vision for the MENA Representative Program. She’s inspired by the dedication of MENA’s players and coaches and strives to provide an environment where talent and friendships flourish.  Join us in celebrating Lindy’s unwavering commitment to developing netballers and enriching our community both on and off the court.
